Not exactly sure what this "rust" sound you're seeking would be but thanks for checking out my video ;)
Well, we made the best video we could for the next to zero budget the we had. We did it mostly for fun as there's no "PR" behind me really.. but thanks for checking out the video and my music ;)
i used to rock this in the room but with only one btw i still have no kids waitn on a woman to stick around n one with a decent IQ!
still listening to this day in 2022! Awesome mix of dreampop, electro-clash, ebm and acid... I like that mix, and have always liked it in your sound how you plays with it. looking forward to the new album!
It doesn't appear that way! I think your music video is more professional than most I've seen today! Just my opinion! Love your style! ♥️
15 years later and it’s still an iconic timeless classic. Thank you.
Still very good, missing you in 22.
Thanks for all the comments everyone!! I couldn't possibly answer all of you below, but know that I appreciate your support of my music and this video for My Device!! I would love to make another video in the future, but funds are tight right now so it would be another low budget dealio!! We'll see! ;)
Well in this specific case, I AM the band. I write the music and sing the songs. My guys onstage are my LIVE guys that I get to play stuff live ;)
15 years? Damn, this aged like a fine wine. Both sound and visuals.
I know, right!
16 years!
I’m 25 and remember listening to her when I was around 15
Yep, that's what you have to work with when you have zero budget and are working with all friends on a video! ;)
LARP props on low budget, yeah you get something like that.
Ayria I love you 😔
When yo have friends yo have everything
@ExtraSwirl Zara Larsson did a look like this recently
To me that is what makes this video even better. It gives it that 80's cyberpunk feel.
Jennifer Parkin is one of the sweetest and most talented artists out there. I've really enjoyed her music and getting to see her in concert for several years now. She puts on an amazing show and she's really cool to meet with her fans as well as interact with them on social networking.
15 years ago. Wow, where has the time gone?? The whole cyber goth trend we did back then turned into real cyberpunk huh? Yeah it's 2023!
Almost 2025 now! Love the cyber goth scene!!!
AGED VERY WELL
Yep, you're right! It's a very inexpensive prop that we used to represent something high tech. We had a next to nothing budget for this video. That considering, I'm proud of the result.
im ru,mi
many thx for stopping by London on your tour!
Her voice is amazing. So melodic.
A CLASSIC
She was so ahead of her time. Debris and Flicker are amazing albums. ❤
I love her. ^^ This is by far my favorite Ayria song. She puts a cool twist in the industrial genre.
THE GENERATION OF THE 2000s♪
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh
indeed fr man
Love the Tron bikes and the bit at the end. Great stuff.
Looking forward to seeing you all at Dragoncon this year. Good luck.
I love coming back to this video. Such a sick song to listen to on a night drive.
Still have a crush on this girl too 😂
Ah, the first time I heard this song, I was at her concert standing five feet away from the speakers. I have difficulty thinking of a better place to be standing for the first time one hears this song.
Her voice sounds quite hypnotic
Love the song and video.
I love her music so much. I just wished she would make some more music videos. This song is bad ass and she is so beautiful. Great job!
I don't know if I love more her music or her looking. her music is sooo good to hear or to dance, and she's soooo damn pretty.
This feels so 90's cyberpunkish and i love it.
Ayria > all
Sorry, there's nobody better in this genre right now. Jenn, please make a new albuum soon! Great video!
more than a decade later, now I'm an adult but still enjoy this kind of music
Same here was searching and literally trying to think of the name of this song and for the life of me couldn't think of the name. Last listened to it when I was like 14 and I'm now 26
Oh my dear god..you NEED to come to Iowa State U. and do a show. NEED TO COME. I would convince every single person I know to see your show.
Who's listening in 2021? I feel old...
2024 now. Gurl you still alive? Lol
still such an iconic song 🖤 love you queen
I love this project .....
i go see them live 15 okt..wow what a great band!!!
This song is perfect for a cyberpunk club 😭😭😭😭😭
14 anos se passaram e eu voltei para escutar essa maravilha, ela canta demais, foi AYRIA que me introduziu às músicas industriais. Thank you so much Ayria for listening to your music, I love industrial and EBM music. Your voice is amazing.
n tenho tantos anos nessa estrada do metal industrial, mas Ayria contribuiu bastante pra eu começar a consumir esse estilo.
Muie canta pra krl
I just love Ayria. I first discovered her on vampirefreaks!!!!
Hey could you upload this in HD maybe? :) It looks to me like it was shot in HD, but RUclips didn't support it at the time.
I agree, seven years later.
Didn't expect one of my favourite YTP channels to listen to Ayria :)
Hahahaha I didn't expect that
Oh hey cs188 didn’t expect you there
Ayria, you are the one who got me into industrial music.
From when Synthpop become Industrial Music ?
@@icemangtr1 Just said Ayria is the one who makes him or her search music like industrial, EBM, synthpop or whatever, that mixes and variety confuses too much but is great, just discover and enjoy the music
@@icemangtr1 this is definitely not synth pop
@@icemangtr1 Industrial music isn’t synth-pop. Sure, it may have its influences, but it’s not the same as synth pop.
I remember listening to this 7-8 year ago. Fuck how time flies.
same
I'm 34 and feel ancient. This brings me right back to being a teenager 😂
@@lucianaromulus1408 Hey, here we are ANOTHER 8 years later :D
@@BlackHatAndy ain't it crazy ,ha !
Her little fry scream at 1:22 was really nice!!!
I can't believe it's been 10 years since this has been out! I still remember how cool it was seeing her with VNV nation in 2009
sexy vid, top track
cool shots.
Listened to this song on the radio the other day. Good stuff.
Nope, it's just my song. "My Device". No other songs were used in the writing or creation of this song. Any other song similarities are purely coincidental ;)
Great suggestion from the RUclips algorithm. I remember seeing Ayria at some hole in the wall basement bar in St Catherines 15ish+ years ago.
I love Ayria...I am looking to get Flicker one of these days.
I saw Ayrai live in San Fran, Glas Kat. Best show ever!
Love her!!
xox
;)
Geo
I remember my brother showing me this when i was a kid, fell in love with it and its what got me into EBM. Now it feels like forever since then. lol
Electronic Bowel Movement?
brings back so many memories :P
Agreed. I saw her with Combichrist. I met her after the show. Very nice lady, even signed my CD.
Verty good song about things and the way stuff works.
Haha! Exactly ;) I do like to read so the prop was multi-functional.
Well, well. I was at that very show. Good times were had.
I am jamming this album today!
this girl is live right now on jtv in the dna lounge
Saw her live and met & chatted with her at goth night at Shampoo in Philadelphia back in 2008. She's so sweet and I wish she would've gotten more recognition. I still love her music.
Loved the video. loved the song also. Awesome performance at dracula's ball.
Kittenflug, I've seen you several times in Texas. Awesome shows every time. The best was when you were on tour with Ego Likeness and the Cruxshadows. When you coming to Dragon Con, just saying.
saw you guys at a vampire freaks show a few years back in nyc you rocked then you rock now keep it up
Geiles Video Geiler Sound
cyberlystik Style yeah.
Ayria ist eine grosse Künstlerin und diese einer meiner Lieblingslieder :D
that thing reading the disk is definetly the bonus booklight from that snuggies blanket infomercial
They are so talented. Amazing track.
I LOVE this song so incredible!
wow I love Ayria
Yeah...A. I'd definitely do her! B. Amazing voice! C. Awesome lyrics! D. I'm now a fan!
shes awesome.
her voice is haunting i love it
I walk alone
I tried my hand at something new
Without you
I'm better off
And on my own
I've fallen countless times but I've realized
I'm better off
I'm forgetting the mess that we were
Give and take
An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
A sigh for a sigh
A lie for a lie
Without you I'm better off
Without you I'm better off
You were my device
A crutch that sustained me through life
Too crippled to put you aside
I never knew why
An eye for an eye
A bruise for a bruise
Was never enough
To satisfy you
i love this music, i love ayria, i love Jennifer parkin
she needs to come back to my town again
AWSOME!!! :D
I LOVE U AYRIA
lol that book light that i also have was used as some sort of CD reader thing. anyway, awesome music video. ive been looking for something new, not just the same music ive been listening to for a while. looks like ive found it! :D
AWESOME!!!!!
The Ayria popped up on related videos when I was watching the videos of Velcra. Omg I was so lucky on that day. I don't want to listen anything else than Ayria (or Evanescence on occasionally). Also, Jennifer is sooo cute (Thank's for the Flicker CD and the others too). Disease is my favourite 1 and every other song is like favourite 1.1.
Yeah, Same here. Minneapolis show yesterday. They should of just had Ayria open. At first I didn't know who was playing until the end. And then War Tapes came on and I was like wut? 2 Opening shows? Get VNV out already.
Found this cd at a thrift store and listening now. I feel like Cartman at the end of the Chinpokomon episode. "Is this cool or not? I cant tell." I dont know, I think its a lot cooler than Evanescence. Its like if you look at pictures of Evanescence, and wonder what they sound like, this is a lot closer to what they should sound like. Not Creed with fishnet stockings. I dont know man. I'd rather hear this on the radio than what is currently on it. And apparently, this came out in 2005? If my memory serves me well, they were playing Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne. Yea. Id rather stuff like this than any of that stuff. It sounds somebody who really cares about what shes doing. The synthesizers are really cool.
Ayria has such good music I have ordered all her albums!
I born in the early 2000s , but , i lover her songs of the 2000s , are the best!🖤
Well, it hasn't actully. Of course there's some effects on my voice used in production and some distortion to grit it up, quite commonly used in industrial tracks.
i wish they would come and have a show in college station texas. i know a lot of ppl would would love to see them live down here
she is soooo cutee!! ^.^ love her soooo much same wit her music :P
Great song! I'm pretty sure I've heard these tunes before, maybe when I smoked tons of grass, otherwise I don't think I would have forgotten it. It's fun discovering things for the first time a second time.
great music and video !!
greetings
So cyberpunk!!
DROP TEH BASS
i just got back from watching I:scintilla, Ayria and Cruxshadows....
holy hell best show ive ever been too, they all rocked!
Hay, I have that book light. I had no idea I could run a mini cd off it. Gonna have to try that

We are looking forward to supporting Ayria on the Paper Dolls tour in Newcastle UK on 9th June.
This year?
Wow you actually are very busy at youtube for you're Fans, thats a really nice thing. Keep up the good work.
I get what the video is about, but I just can't put it into words. That's the beauty of it. Gotta love Ayria.

I agree with you 100 percent.
Nice sound!
