By the year this wedding (1999)occurred, I was deep in the village, we had no TV at home but I felt the vibe and excitement.
His wedding was years lately but still best ever
Oh wow that bride reminds me princess Diana. The Dress, the bridal procession tune. Very interesting.
That bride really wanted to wear a Diana princess of Wales dress. And she nailed it.
I remember that day very well I was in Kampala for my interview. The king and queen drove by the road and of course I stood there to wish them well

So where is mubulungi ne mububi🙁🙁🙁
Wawo
The current British King was having affairs & openly admitted to adultery whilst married to his first wife. Aristocracies have always behaved like this..! The Baganda are unique in allowing the rotation of clans, so that one clan cannot monopolise the Kabaka.
JACKER JACKER, THOSE MEN ARE JACKERING WITH FIRE CAN THEM HINDER,JACKER AND YOU HAVE TO TALK TO ME SIR.

New Vision.
The Kabaka does not have affairs.
He is the Kabaka! ''Ssabasajja'' all women in Buganda belong to him!
This kind of reporting is very wanting and can only be done by people who luck knowledge of the places they live in. It is very shallow and not fit for the Kabaka. The Kabaka is not your common person! That's why he is one and not anyone there.
"all buganda women belong to him"
Really stop this stupidness we r living in 2020 not 1800s. Especially because he is the king, he should act more educated. They is no good that comes from polygamy... ALOT look up to him. This stupid mindset is why buganda and Uganda is not moving forward.
@@FlaviaJoan1995 You talk like someone who has a colonised mind. Thinking in the way of the mindset the colonisers gave you. Don't you ever think that speaking the colonisers language is education.
If you knew and had a proper cultural education, you would have known who the Kabaka was to Buganda and you would have kept quite. But I can see the effects of poor mindsets due to colonialism playing in you.
If you are not a princess then that should tell you that the Kabaka isn't someone you vote for.
If I knew how, I would have prayed to the protectors of Buganda to curse people like you who have no value to culture. I'm sorry to say.

I think u can have your opinion. But really u should never wish evil towards anyone. That's just sad..
Am sorry that I used negative words to state mine opinion, but I still think the king should chage his ways, his ppl really love him...
By changing his ways, ppl will protect and respect him more. Because they feel heard by him. And plus I communicate in English because that's what buganda teach me. The schools teach in English.
@@FlaviaJoan1995 If you look at the Bible, most kings had wives. Because its normal for kings to have wives.
A king is a king that's why I'm not!
Europeans found us here practicing polygamy. But the beauty of polygamy then was that no man would have any woman without paying bride price. So they were official wives.
Culture is very important and to me as a Muganda if someone be littles my King I will not keep quite.
You have to be careful when commenting on issues of Culture because the powers that be can be angry on you and your children without you even knowing.
Kabaka muntu wakyitiibwa tayisibwa mukamwa!

But that are old times. Culture doesn't precisely mean to stick to the old ways. My grandmothers always say that they disliked polygamy, even their husband's never added more women in the marriages. If this happened ALOT of anger overtook the house. So buganda women were never happy in these marriages then. Some just went with it because of the norms back then, but they weren't happy.
That's the same today, the onyl difference is that women aren't that depend to men. Which makes devorcing them easier.
The buganda queen is not happy with her husband actions, but just goes with it with pain in her heart. I do believe that the king should be more respectful. Just hurting her feelings like this is rude and disrespectful. And it doesn't matter how u look at it. Wil u be oké if your wife had more husbands... No
I do think that even if the king is mighty and such he stil should evolve with his people. Buganda women are his people. So this is disrespectful of him. How ppl die if aids because of this?
He has to change for his ppl. They look up to him!!
